Sightseeing Lift Ticket (Single Ride)

Fernie Alpine Resort operates 2 chairlifts in the summer season – the Elk Chair (offered daily), and the Timber Chair (offered on weekends & statutory holidays).

Please Note: Single Ride Sightseeing Lift Tickets are valid for a single ride (up & down the lift). All children must be able to walk independently to ride the chairlift.

After a scenic ride up the Elk Chair, guests can enjoy a variety of mountaintop activities, including a leisurely hike on the Boom Trail, a visit to the Lizard Bowl Observation Deck, or checking out the fossils on Skeleton Flats. Families will also love our Elk Top attractions, including Nature Bob’s Interpretive Centre, the Elk Grove Forest Playground, and lawn games in the alpine. In addition to the breathtaking mountain scenery, you'll see our native trees and alpine wildflowers, and you may even be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of some local wildlife. Guests then have the option to return to the top of the Elk Chairlift for a scenic ride back down the mountain or hike one of our on-mountain trails to the base area.

We are excited to be offering the Timber Chair on weekends and statutory holidays this summer! Enjoy a variety of alpine hiking trails, take in the views from Lost Boys Café, or get the adrenaline pumping on our DH bike trails. Lost Boys Café will also host a number of Music on the Mountain events this summer—hike, sightsee, and enjoy some great live music in the alpine.

What's Included

• Lift Access to the Elk Chairlift and/or Timber Chairlift (weekends & statutory holidays) for one person or one family (2 adults and up to 4 children or youth 17 & under) for one round trip (up & down the lift)
• Access to hiking trails from the Summit
• Access to Lost Boys Cafe (weekends & statutory holidays)
